Why Focusing Makes Our Brain Work Better – Free Talk

February 5, 2017 : 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Do you wonder sometimes about the functioning of your mind? Like, is this really the best I can do? I often run into people who would like to be more “Focused”. I assume this refers to the jumping around or monkey brain feeling we can get when our brain is actively jumping from one thought to another. Or maybe brain diseases like Alzheimer’s or Dementia run in your family and something in you is concerned that you are headed that way. Neuroscience shows us what is happening when we practice Focusing and how that rewires our inner neural patterns so that we utilize the capacity of our brain in a more efficient, holistic way.

No one taught us how to use our brain when we were born. Now we know so much more. Join me, Sandy Jahmi Burg, certified Focusing trainer, for this Free one hour talk where we will come to understand more about how our brains works and learn an exercise we can do that sets the stage for a healthy brain environment.

The program begins at 3:00pm on Sunday, February 5 in the Community Room at the Jesse Peterman Memorial Library in Floyd. The library is located at 321 West Main Street across from the Food Lion in Floyd.
The program will be repeated over a Video Web/Tele Conference line on the same day earlier at 12:00pm EST. You can connect or call in from any computer or phone line from wherever you are.
