After much discussion and research over the past two years, we are hoping to construct a Collaboration and Career Development Center (CCDC).
This construction will impact more than just high school age students. The ability to offer training and skills with updated equipment and facilities, gives all of our students an opportunity to be future ready. The career connections and explorations will also be expanded to our elementary school curriculum.
The CCDC will also allow us to create programs with partners like New River Community College, Radford University, Virginia Tech, and our local businesses that will result in a degree or certification leading to college or job opportunities.
Floyd County Public Schools will be hosting an Open House on Tuesday, February 26 from 4 pm to 7 pm in the current Career and Technical Education building at Floyd County High School to allow the public to examine our vision, the priorities, and building plans. We will have sets of informational posters for the community to view.
