be the moon was started in 2011 as the collaborative music effort of Vocalist/Percussionist Adam Shaw and Vocalist/Guitarist Elliott Humphries. In two years the group has since expanded into something more than either ever expected. The additions of bassist Freddie Alderman and drummer Steven Bristow have expanded the group’s sound dramatically. Pulling from a wide variety of musical genres, be the moon writes Americana/Folk-Rock that brings to mind Tom Petty, Wilco, John Prine, Whiskeytown, and Ryan Adams. For these guys it is all about passion! They love to make music. And they love when people enjoy the music they make! be the moon strives to write honest and genuine songs about the people and places that they know. Come to the show Saturday and show them the love!
