Intro to Climbing workshop

Join us for a full day of climbing instruction and practice! We will all meet up at the location- Bozoo, WV (Shanklin’s Ferry State Park off the New River). The first part of the day will be spent learning the basics of equipment, belaying, knots, etc. The later part of the day will involve actual experience with top-rope rock-climbing. Some of the highest quality sandstone you will find East of the Mississippi! This is geared towards those who are climbing-curious and want to learn more in a safe, inclusive environment with highly experienced guides. This is challenge by choice; participants will be able to choose how far they want to push themselves based on their comfort level. Our certified guides have a combined 76 years of climbing experience! Local legends, you might say! There is plenty of space for participants to camp overnight if they’d like, although any camping fees would be the responsibility of the participant.
