Gingerbread Ball

YOU ARE INVITED to an enchanted, wintery evening gala! 5pm- after midnight!
Rising Sun Community School’s Gingerbread Ball has something for everyone. 5:00 – 8:00, bring the family and work together on a real gingerbread house. Browse the student-made art work for sale, have your face painted like a snow fairy or leopard or whatever your heart desires, enjoy holiday songs and Christmas carols played by our quartet while sipping on hot chocolate. At 8:00, children become the guest of honor at our GingerKids Ball (located right across from the big ball!). Kids’ dance party and karaoke, popcorn, movie time, and a ‘slumber’ party will be the highlight of the night as your children are cared for by professionals.
As the kids play, it’s YOUR turn to cut loose! Join us at the Ball, a formal, black-tie-encouraged dance event complete with live music from Reptile Dysfunction, Richie and the Wildlife and Spoon Fight! Bring your date hungry for our scrumptious heavy h’ors douerves by Cast Iron Catering, and keep yourself happy and hydrated with a selection of local beers, wines and kombucha. Dance your way over to the Dessert Bar for a sweet treat, and spend a little time perusing our silent auction items. Don’t miss out on our door prizes and awards for Glitziest Gown, Most Carefully Coiffed Couple, Most Dapper Dude, and many more. Join our dance competition and compete for fun prizes!
The night continues as the electronic dance party begins at 12:00, complete with lightshow and holiday VJ. The kids will be playing hard at their evening, so stick around till we shut the place down.
Designated drivers (zero drinks) earn a free non-alcoholic beverage and are entered into a drawing for a fun prize. WE LOVE OUR DESIGNATED DRIVERS and we will ALWAYS put safety first.
