Floyd Contra Dance

More Mountains of Music with Dot Dot Dash on the Crooked Road, playing an eclectic assortment of Celtic, Old Time, Americana, and traditional tunes as well as a few songs that don’t fit comfortably into any genre. Dot Dot Dash is Matt Livingston (mandolin), Bill Anderson (fiddle),John Hildreth (guitar), and F.M. Turner (bass), with special guest Kerry Morgiewicz sitting in on piano. NC caller Louie Cromartie will prompt and teach all the dance figures, as well as a lesson before the dance.

The Floyd contra dance attracts all age groups and experience levels—beginners catch on early to instant fun, and experienced dancers add high energy and lots of smiles.
