Road Routes

Moonshiner's Pass

This 78-mile paved route winds through Floyd, Montgomery, and Pulaski counties, offering scenic views and a relaxed ride. As you travel through Pulaski County, keep an eye out for glimpses of the New River. Cap off your journey with a stop at 5 Mile Mountain Distillery, just minutes from the Town of Floyd.

The Crooked Road Ramble

This 84-mile paved route winds through Floyd and Franklin counties, following portions of The Crooked Road: Virginia’s Heritage Music Trail. Along the way, be sure to stop at two key venues on the trail, the Floyd Country Store and the Blue Ridge Institute, for an authentic taste of the region’s musical roots.

Harvest Haul

This 87-mile paved route winds through several neighboring counties, offering a mix of open roads and winding mountain curves - including curvy stretches up Bent Mountain and 5 Mile Mountain.

Dual Sport/Adventure Routes - Big Bike Friendly!

Fiddler's Revenge

A 59-mile dual sport route that takes riders through Floyd County, Patrick County, and briefly into Franklin County. This route features 65% gravel roads.

Buffalo Mountain Bender

This 118-mile gravel and paved route is named after the Buffalo Mountain Natural Area Preserve and loops through Floyd into Patrick County and back. Along the way, riders will pass the iconic Buffalo Mountain and have the option to stop at the trailhead for the Buffalo Mountain Trail which is a great place to stretch your legs and take in stunning 360-degree views from the summit. Riders who prefer to skip the hike can bypass the trailhead by turning right onto Connor Grove Rd SW from Phadettia Rd SW.

Banjos and Backroads

This 106-mile dual sport route offers an adventurous ride through the heart of Floyd County, featuring 80% gravel backroads packed with curves and challenges, perfect for dual sport enthusiasts looking for a fun and scenic tour.

Know before you ride: In Virginia, motorcycle riders must wear a helmet that meets certain minimum requirements. Riders must also wear eye protection or have a windshield and have a valid license with a Class M designation. Lane splitting and lane filtering are illegal. Passengers must have their own seats and footrests, and must wear helmets.
