When folks visit, they can take a picture with the LOVE letters, hike our trails, and have a picnic! The LOVE letters are located at the entrance to the property, the gazebo and pond.

Our LOVEwork is made with hand-hewn oak log timbers reclaimed from the RJ Reynolds Homestead area in Patrick County, Virginia. It is believed that the trees were growing in the late 16th century and harvested in the early 17th century. The timber buildings were originally constructed in 1840's and reclaimed in 2010. To us, LOVE is working with and around nature. Sustainability is our priority, so our LOVE sign was sourced from the property, using only what nature has provided us. We hope our guests will enjoy this beautiful surprise during their hikes.
L - represents of the sustainability of our facility. As the ivy grows around it, it will begin to have a purpose for the forest.
O - for the fauna. We hope that birds will build nests and wildlife will find a way to use it.
V - represents our events and the people that use our facility; the round cutouts are used as centerpieces for many events.
E - how we bring it all together.
Visitors are welcome to visit the sign. We ask that people call to let us know ahead of time but if you are unable to do that, do check in at the front office. If no one is there, you may visit the sign through the campground. The trails close one hour before sunset and guests are not allowed to visit after dark. Enjoy!

This LOVEwork sign was handmade by Floyd County resident, Bill St. Pierre, a nationally known woodworker who has been featured on many television programs in recent years.
