Sourced Press: Community Workshop Bookmaking with Kate

Explore bookmaking with Kate Lydon & Sarah Pollock!
Kate will lead us through and demonstrate many different binding methods including a pamphlet stitch, hard cover, long stitch, coptic stitch and a perfect bind. For your final project, we will help you make a book! Have some old letters, photos, or sketches? Some paper you’d like to make into a journal? Bring along anything you’d like to make into a book!
Kate is an artist/farmer living in the Roanoke area. Kate studied printmaking at university, but since graduating is focused most of their creative efforts on bookbinding.
Sarah Pollock is the Director of Sourced Press.
Cost: $50. (Minimum of three participants. If we do not meet the minimum we will reschedule to another Saturday.)
