“The Rocky Knob Project” with Dr. Ralph Lutts

Floyd County Historical Society sponsors talk about:

Blue Ridge Heritage Education Center “The Rocky Knob Project”  is developing an education center and tourist gateway adjacent to the Rocky Knob area of the Blue Ridge Parkway.

One of its goals is to provide education services to local communities and Parkway visitors in Floyd and Patrick Counties. another is to enhance local economies by encouraging visitors to get off the Parkway and explore our region. The focus of its place-based program is on local cultural and natural history and patterns of change over the past century. Ralph Lutts, a member of the Blue Ridge Heritage board of directors, will review the history of this project, its goals, and the award-winning plan for the education center.
