Old Time Dance with the New Macedon Rangers

Join us at the Floyd Country Store on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 7:30pm for an old-time dance with The New Macedon Rangers; featuring Ashlee Watkins, Andrew Small, Heather Krantz, Gina Dilg & Dylan Locke. Tickets are $8 at the door.
The New Macedon Rangers Band
Presenting a range of traditional dance music from North Carolina and Virginia to mountain ballads and early country songs, The New Macedon Rangers effect an atmosphere that harkens back to a time when music was a social event shared in homes, bringing people together over ancient melodies and compelling rhythms. Stirring vocal harmonies and driving instrumentals tap into the essence of traditional mountain music while original tunes and songs move the tradition forward. Winners of the old time band contest at the 2017 Hoppin’ John Fiddlers’ Convention in Chatham County, NC, the versatile duo has also won blue ribbons for fiddle, banjo, and folk singing as well as the 2015 Australian National Bluegrass Mandolin Championship.
Andrew and Ashlee will be joined to form a rip-roaring dance band that includes Dylan Locke, Heather Krantz and Gina Dilg
