Originally from the live music mecca of Austin, TX, New Car Caviar brings a fresh Americana take to the epic music of Pink Floyd. The band expanded to Charlotte, NC in summer of 2014, and since then has continued to play new venues in Texas, the East Coast, and beyond.
As opposed to a straight Pink Floyd tribute, or straight bluegrass, New Car Caviar pulls from multiple genres, with elements of bluegrass, rock, jam, and reggae finding their way into the familiar music, making it fresh all over again. Whether you’re an avid Floyd fan or not, you’ll find an electrifying mix of high-energy funk and stirring rock anthems, interspersed with slower pieces that explore the mind-bending beauty of Pink Floyd – and all done with bluegrass instrumentation, reminiscent of a Mumford & Sons approach.
