MOUNTAIN MAMA FESTIVAL–“STAND WITH RED”

THIS FESTIVAL IS to raise funds for the Terry Family in their fight against the Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP) and to raise spirits and awareness through community connection! We need your help! We hope that you will support this in whatever way you can.

For over a month, Mama Red Terry and her daughter, Minor, have lived in trees on their property to keep those trees from being cut by the MVP. Red Terry is the mother of three and says that “this mountain is like my 4th child.”

This Mother’s Day weekend, Sat. May 12– Sun. May 13, we will gather at Bottom Creek Farm for an extravaganza of bands, food, ceremonies, performances and workshops. There will be a children’s area with fun nature and art activities, a poetree (bring poems!), drum circles, impromptu jams, education, as well as a mother’s day blessing.

WORKSHOPS AND TALKS INCLUDE: First Amendment Rights, Mindfulness, Herbalism, Yoga, Drumming, Dancing, Singing, Healing Touch, Earth Based Spirituality, Environmental Awareness, and the Pipeline Situation and How to Plug in.

PERFORMANCES: Fire Dancing, Comedy, Spoken Word and Puppetry.

Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds, but please keep in mind that this festival is being offered on a donation basis and all funds will go directly to the Terry family to support their legal efforts and support for many family members who are out of work because they are living in trees to stop the MVP or in direct support of those who are tree-sitting. Thank you for being generous with your donations.

For those who have continuously been on the ground in support of Red and Minor, this festival offers a place to be restored.
