Miss Floyd County Fair Pageant

Community members and area supporters are invited to the first-ever 2016 Miss Floyd Livestock & County Fair Pageant to be held at Chantilly Farm barn, 2697 Franklin Pike SE in Floyd!  Organizers will be on site this Saturday, August 27^th at 9am to greet volunteers and on-stage program begins at 12 noon.

Admission to the Event:  

$5 adults (one free adult with paid pageant participant)

$3 ages 10-17

10 and under are free

Participants from Beautiful Baby through age 22 will compete to win a variety of awards available to this year’s contestants. One award that will be given is for “Fan Favorite”, determined by the number of pennies (or more) placed in a jar for each contestant. All proceeds from admission and Fan Favorite competition go to fund scholarship for deserving applicants who wish to continue their education.

Junior Miss and Miss ages will compete in evening gown/formal dress, casual wear, interview and platform/community service. The winners will be chosen based upon well-roundedness and how they embody and represent the area of Floyd County.

The pageant is a way to further enhance our Floyd Livestock & County Fair which will be held September 17^th.  Select participants and winners will represent at the Fair and will help in various exhibit areas.  The top winner will also prepare for competition at the state level at Miss Virginia Association of Fairs pageant with winners from more than 50 fairs throughout Virginia.
