Linda Lay & Springfield Exit Live at Floyd Country Store

Join us at the Floyd Country Store on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 7:30 pm for a live concert with Linda Lay & Springfield Exit. The show will have an in-person audience and air live on Facebook and YouTube. In-person tickets are $20 advance/$25 day of show and available for sale online and in-store. The livestream is free with donations accepted to support the musical artists and production costs of the concert.
Springfield Exit’s sound is sincere, soulful and stubbornly old-fashioned. This may not be your grandfather’s country music, but it comes mighty close. Springfield Exit’s lineup features multi-instrumentalist and former Johnson Mountain Boy David McLaughlin, lead singer and bassist Linda Lay and guitarist David Lay, legendary Floyd-based banjo master, Sammy Shelor and multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Darren Beachley.
Linda Lay boasts a voice as lovely as it is affecting, sublime and stirring by turns. With the inspired but unfussy support provided by her husband and McLaughlin she evokes her Carter Family country roots amid vintage string-band sounds that still ring untrendy and true.
