John Hildreth at Dogtwon

John Hildreth is a guitarist, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist based in southwest Virginia, USA, performing throughout the New River Valley. His live shows combine rhythmic, virtuoso acoustic guitar with songs spanning 80s, rock, pop, and Americana.

John’s style is ‘deep-tissue guitar,’ combining acoustic, world, jazz, rock, traditional, Americana and classical genres with rhythmic thumping, slapping, tapping and finger-picking techniques.

John performs and tours with contra dance band Dot Dot Dash and performs around the NRV with The Completely Smashed Irish Band, Music In Three Dimensions and The Breakfast Club.
