Home Funeral Documentary Screening & Discussion

Please join us on Saturday August 25th 2018th in the Community Room at the Jessie Peterman Memorial Library in Floyd from 2-4pm. We will be screening “A Family Undertaking”, a documentary on Home Funerals.

A community discussion will follow that will be facilitated by Phil Olson, a professor at Virginia Tech as well as a board member of the Funeral Consumers Alliance.

Please come with your curiousity, questions, and any bit of anxiety that may arise. There is an article attached that can give you a picture of the growing Home Funeral movement. Join us as we explore options for how we can care for our loved ones, and plan for our own bodies to be care for, after death.
