The Handmade Music School presents a Lullaby Singing Workshop with Elizabeth Laprelle and Brian Dolphin at The Floyd Country Store on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM. Cost is $25.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
We will teach some of our favorite traditional American lullabies – mostly learned from Elizabeth’s family – that we have arranged for 2 and 3-part harmony. We even have a few originals to share that we wrote ourselves! Come add to your repertoire of sleepy songs and delve deeper into singing, and even arranging, vocal harmony. All ages and abilities welcome.
Elizabeth LaPrelle and Brian Dolphin are a married duo who share a love of bright vocal harmonies, eerie traditional songs, and heartfelt originals. Elizabeth is a world-renowned ballad singer and scholar from Rural Retreat, Virginia and Brian is a songwriter, producer, and ethnomusicologist who has studied folk music all around the world.
