Gathering the Tribe: Drum, Dance & Chant Weekend
October 29, 2016 : 3:00 pm - October 30, 2016 : 8:00 pm
$22The seasons turn, and we are brought to a time of gratitude and celebration of abundance, reverence for our ancestors, and the bestowal of the abundant blessings of Divali ~ all wrapped up into one weekend! Come celebrate with us ~ with drumming, chanting, dancing, skill-sharing, and a classical Indian music concert!
We invite you to consider bringing a costume for Saturday evening’s pageantry, and issue the challenge of becoming your favorite superhero, god/goddess, archetype, power animal, etc. Couples and families are encouraged to ‘harmonize’ your elements. We will create time for your character to display his/her virtues and be appreciated! : )
Bring towel, potluck dishes, drum/musical instruments and a costume expressing a deep aspect of your being! Participants may stay on-site for parts of the weekend with advance arrangement. Love offering for the space and our ongoing work — contact Ashera or see our website for further info. kathrynashera@gmail.com AnahataEducationCenter.com.
