Free Open Ceramics Studio to Benefit Empty Bowls Charity

Floyd County’s 11th annual Empty Bowls event will be held at The Floyd County High School on April 8th 11:30 to 2pm.
The Floyd Center for the Arts invites potters of all experience levels to come make use of our studio, materials, and equipment, free of charge, under the condition that the pieces made are to be donated to the Empty Bowls charitable fundraiser.
The studio will be open and available from 2 to 5 pm on Friday and Saturday, February 23 and 24th, 2018. Additionally, we will hold a free glazing day on Saturday, March 24 from 2 to 5pm. Any bowls unglazed after this point will be glazed by the ceramics studio manager and volunteers, and donated to the event. The center is also a drop off point for any potters who wish to bring in finished bowls from their own studio.
