Floyd’s Little River Clean-Up!

Floyd County is pleased to announce its first-ever Little River Clean-up Day.
Residents are invited to volunteer to spend the morning of Saturday, August 26 helping pick up litter and items in and along a stretch of the Little River.

Citizens should pre-register by August 4th at the Floyd County website, www.floydcova.org/lrcleanup or in person at the Floyd Visitor Center or County Administration Office. For more info, call 745-9300.
No boat or experience required. Work in or along the river.

The Floyd Visitor Center is on Main St across from the courthouse.

“This is a great opportunity to have some fun and help our community,” said Terri Morris, County Administrator. “Registration is limited to 60 people since this is the first one the County has coordinated.”

Stay after the Clean-up and lunch and enjoy the Floyd Chamber of Commerce’s Annual DUCK RACE followed by a get together with DJ music and fun activities.
