Floyd County Emergency teams, New River Valley Services, the Red Cross and local organizations will be presenting demonstrations, information and panel discussions FREE for our community. This will be a special opportunity to get to know those who help us when times are tough, and find out how we can better prepare ourselves to thrive together in these changing times. Learn how to make a good escape kit. Who to call for emergencies. How to “stop the bleed”. How to tie knots like a Scout. Recognize health emergencies like heat stroke and heart attack. Sign up for rural skills and first aid workshops. Peek inside the ambulance. Introduce the kids to a Red Cross robot. Food and drink will be available all day. Bring your family and friends.
