Floyd Contra Dance @ The JAX

Sept. 12th at Jacksonville Center

Toss the Possum with a new caller, Jacob LeGrone, who discovered contra dancing at the John C. Campbell Folk School over 16 years ago. At the University of South Carolina, Jacob served on the board of Columbia Traditional Music and Dance, and founded the Carolina Contra Club, a student organization with a strong community of young dancers. He’s also created the interactive CDSS map of dance locations. Can’t wait!
The dance will take place in the Community Room upstairs at the Jacksonville Center for the Arts. Beginner lesson at 7:35 PM and dance begins at 8 PM. Regular dance fee is $8, Listener $5 and Students with ID $6.50.
