Ecstatic Dance

An event every month that begins at 3:00 pm on day First of the month, repeating until December 4, 2016
Join us as we become united in our bodies and dance our joy in the Great Hall at the Blue Ridge Center for Chinese Medicine.
First Sunday of each month from 3-5pm.
$10 suggested donation
What is Ecstatic Dance???
This is a free-form movement experience in a conscious and supportive space with movers of all ages and abilities. The music is from many genres and builds into an arc that gently brings us into stillness. This form was created by the movement shaman, Gabrielle Roth and has offered healing and transformation world-wide.
Do we dance for a full 2 hours?
No
1st: We introduce the form of Ecstatic Dance as well as the theme for the day.
2nd: The group is led in a gentle and meditative warm-up to begin embodying the theme.
3rd: We go into the Ecstatic Dance Wave for about an hour and 10 min. The last 10 minutes can be in deep stillness.
4th: We end with the invitation to share anything about our experience with the group.
