The study of architecture, design, and the furniture designs of select architect’s including Gerrit Rietveld, Frank Lloyd Wright and Richard Meier furthered his interest in contemporary craft furniture. Furniture craftsmen including Wendell Castle, Sam Maloof, and the inventor of the “Live Edge Slab” table…George Nakashima, inspired his own aesthetic in art, sculpture and the idea of furniture as functional art.
