Catch Chris Long’s first show at Dogtown! About his music, Chris says, “I have been playing music for over twenty years. As a kid my biggest musical influence was my dad, who was playing music almost every weekend. He taught me how to play and we played together in the bands Sloe Ginn and Stonewall Gray in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. My biggest musical influences are Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, John Mellencamp, John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band, Bryan Adams, and John Fogerty/Creedence Clearwater Revival.

For me music has to mean something, I love songs that speak about life and the world we live in. That is the music that tells our story and that is the music we carry with us throughout life. That is why I am such a Springsteen fan.

My music today is focused more on songwriting than it has ever been before. Primarily that I what I play when I perform, with the occasional cover song thrown in when it feels right. I love songwriting, it has given me a chance to say so much with music that I have not got to express before.

This adventure just keeps getting better and better.”
