Author Rebecca Godwin Speaking and Book Signing

Rebecca Godwin has published two novels, Private Parts (Longstreet Press) and Keeper of the House (St. Martin’s Press), which was named a Top 10 Book of 1995 by the Charleston, SC, Post and Courier. Her short fiction has appeared in Paris Review, South Carolina Review, The Sun, and elsewhere, including in The Oxford American’s “Best of the South” issue. Among her honors is a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship, a MacDowell fellowship and a South Carolina Fiction Project award. After a checkered career in a variety of arenas, she taught literature and writing at Bennington College for 13 years, until her retirement in 2015. Recently returned to her Southern roots, she now lives in Edisto Island, South Carolina, where she is at work on a new novel. This event is free and open to the public.
