Opening Art Reception Friday, July 17, 5-7pm
Work by two widely-acclaimed local artists will soon be showing at Hotel Floyd’s new gallery space, opened in partnership with The Jacksonville Center for the Arts (The Jax). An opening reception Friday, July 17, 5 to 7 p.m., will launch this second exhibition in the new gallery space.
The artists to be featured are Sidra Kaluszka and Shaun Whiteside. Kaluszka is a diverse artist who specializes in both ceramics and watercolors. Shaun C. Whiteside works with acrylic paint in a style most influenced by Abstract Expressionism, with an emphasis on the metaphysical and emotional realm, rather than on optical reality.
