Agriculture Safety Day and Trade Show

The Floyd County Young Farmers will host an Agriculture Safety Day and Trade Show on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Floyd County High School. Exhibitors, equipment dealers, financial institutions will all be on hand to visit with attendees.
Tractor and equipment safety, landscape equipment and mowing safety, pesticide safety, and ATV safety will be addressed in a series of rotating sessions. The event organizers hope to also showcase the County Emergency Response Equipment used in tractor roll-over situations and the important steps taken during vehicle or equipment extrication to prevent further personal injury. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with area agricultural vendors while learning valuable safety information relating to farming or residential equipment and much more.
This show is sponsored by the Young Farmers as a fundraising project to help finance Floyd County FFA members’ trips to National FFA activities.
Show hours will run from 1 to 6 p.m., and attendees may choose to purchase meal tickets and eat dinner in the school cafeteria. Door prizes will be awarded. Come and join the group for an informative afternoon while supporting the FFA youth activity.
