Ancient Art of Pit Firing Camp! (Day or Overnight)

Sweetwater Sanctuary Summer Camps presents THE ANCIENT ART OF PIT FIRING Day or Overnight Camp!
“Take a deep look into the Earth and discover the gift within. We will use guidance from nature to find different types of clay upon the land. We will turn clay into creative pots and learn the ancient art of pit firing. While studying various cultures of pot making and different techniques, we will decipher the best pots for the clay that we find.”
All camps will have a daily structure bringing in yoga, meditation, journaling and playfulness. Lunch and snack will be provided for day camps.
Overnight camps will provide a deeper development of communal living and hands on experience helping in the kitchen. There will be campfire, hot tub, or other nighttime activity along with a nightly ritual of reading together a chosen chapter book that goes well with the theme of the camp.
Camp is for ages 3-14. Overnight option available to ages seven and up.
