Artists’ and Author’s Reception at the Hotel Floyd

From 5:00-7:00 p.m., on Friday, May 11, at the Hotel Floyd, the Floyd Center for the Arts will be featuring 4 local artists -and- one local author.

All Artists’ & Author’s Receptions held in “the Floyd Center for the Arts Gallery,” inside the Hotel Floyd (across from the main lobby), are open to the public and include free refreshments, a no-host beer & wine bar, and the opportunity to interact with the artists and the author, &/ or to make purchases.

On July 13, our featured local artists will be: Jewelry Artists, Joanne Bell & Darcie Luster; Wall Artist, Adija Wolf; and Woodworking Artist,
Arthur Boyd. Also from 6:15-6:30 p.m., Michael Abraham, who is the featured local author on July 13, will be giving a little presentation about his book, “Keepers of the Traditions.” As a special treat, the book’s portraitist, Leslie Gregg, will be exhibiting NFS a few of the original portraits of Floydians who are featured in the book and in attendance that night.

Work by each rotation of local artists and local authors will be on exhibit and for sale at the Hotel Floyd for the following two months, when the next Artists’ & Author’s Reception will take place, which is on the 2nd Friday, every other month, from 5-7 p.m. at the Hotel Floyd.
