Songwriting since the age of 18, vocalist-guitarist Alicia B. is a one of a kind singer songwriter. She is on a path of self discovery and transformation and you can hear the stories and sounds in her songs. Along with her love for music she has a strong passion for the healing arts and she looks at music as just that. “I have deep gratitude for the earth and the part we play to raise the collective consciousness to a higher vibration while we are here. Alicia, having appeared at Dogtown before as part of the Winston-Salem band Sol Flo, is accompanied in Alicia B. and The Now by Nathan Scott on stand up bass, Bruce Burgess on the banjo and Tyson Morrow on Mandolin. This dynamic quartet plays a unique variety of sounds and styles with bluegrass instrumentation. Catch their first appearance at Dogtown on Friday, April 27.
