Clogging & Flatfooting Workshop with Becky Hill
August 19, 2023 : 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
The Handmade Music School presents Clogging & Flatfooting Level II: Support the Tune with Becky Hill at the Floyd Country Store on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 5:00-6:00pm. Cost is $25 per person.
About the Workshop
Clogging & Flatfooting Level II – Support the Tune will be a deep dive into Appalachian percussive dance forms such as flatfooting, clogging and buck dance. We will focus on musicality, syncopation, and improvisation explore what it means to dance the tune, and dig into how to support a singer using footwork akin to a drum set. It is my hope that everyone will walk away with new tools and footwork vocabulary to use on the dance floor. This class will be accommodating for all levels, come as you are. Leather bottom shoes suggested.
