Living Traditions Festival

Sponsored by the Floyd Center for the Arts, Virginia Humanities, and the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation. The Living Traditions: A Celebration of Floyd County’s Folk and Traditional Arts …will highlight crafts of yesteryear, raise awareness of present-day folk-art practices inspire interest in learning to ensure these arts will live on. The festival will showcase traditional and contemporary expressions of crafts, including basket making, quilting, spinning, weaving, instrument making, blacksmithing, woodworking, and more. Local bluegrass musicians and performers will provide an authentic Appalachian ambiance. The festival will be a free event, with food vendors on site.
