The Town of Floyd is introducing “A Small Town Summer” this summer season. A series of free events taking place in The Warren G Lineberry Park throughout the summer months starting on Thursday, June 8^th and concluding on August 31^st, 2017.

The Town of Floyd is producing a series of free events designed to provide a fun, family-friendly atmosphere in The Warren G Lineberry Park. These events will take place on alternating Thursdays from early June to the end of August and will feature, music, movies, and theater productions with lots of additional activities provided to highlight the park and community organizations.

The series will begin on June 8^th with an opening concert with country musician, Ray Scott. Hardcore country music fans will love Scott’s rumbling baritone and bona fide outlaw style which has quickly won him a dedicated following. With Scott at the wheel, country music is in good hands and heading back to a more traditionally based sound. Crawford & Powers, an alternative country band from Franklin County, Virginia will open the show.

The Town of Floyd’s Small Town Summer Event Series is free and open to the public. Gates will be open and access provided to the public starting at 6 PM on all Floyd Small Town Summer events. Movies will begin when the sun goes down and other times for music and other activities will be listed on the website floydsmalltownsummer.com

At all Floyd Small Town Summer events there will be food vendors, community organizations, face painting, games, inflatables and fun activities for all ages!
