The Maggie Gallery & the 50 Years of Love – “Celebrate with Art”

During the Virginia is for Lovers “50 Years of Love Celebration”, the Maggie Gallery will be hosting an activity every Saturday from July 27 – September 14 during which one of our artists, artisans, or authors will provide a demonstration, a discussion, and/or book signing. Presentations will begin at 1PM, and the length of time will vary from person to person. All activities will be held either on the Maggie’s covered front porch or inside in our sun room depending upon the weather. Most importantly, visitor interaction, open discussion, and questions are encouraged!

Week 1 – July 27: Ron Campbell – Join artist Ron Campbell on the Maggie porch as he uses a wood burning tool to burn a unique scene from Southwest Virginia onto the surface of a 100-year-old piece of American Chestnut. This will become a table top for a sofa table with dimensions of approximately 8 inches by 60 inches and will be offered for sale at the Maggie Gallery as part of the Nystrom-Campbell Furniture Art Collection.
