Empty Bowls – Come make bowls at Jaxs for fundraiser

The Jax is making bowls for the Floyd Empty Bowls fundraiser benefiting the NRCA Backpack Program!
Join us Tuesday, March 22, 10am-2pm to throw and hand sculpt bowls. This is free and we provide all the clay, tools and fire them too. If you can’t make it then, you may come during our Thursday Open Studio March 17 or March 24 and make some on your own. No charge for open studio if you come throw a few bowls too! All bowls must be dry by Monday March 28 in order to fire and glaze them time for the event! Learn more about Empty Bowls below!

The 2016 Empty Bowls fundraiser in Floyd has been set for Sunday, April 10. The event will be held at Floyd County High School from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. All proceeds will go to New River Community Action’s Backpack Program, which fills at risk children’s backpacks with food for the weekend.
Adult ticket prices are $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Tickets for children, ages 6-12, are $5.00. Children, ages five and under, may eat for free.
