Winterfest Holiday Craft Show and Festival of Trees, Floyd Center for the Arts, Dec 2nd and 3rd from 10 am to 5 pm. Shop Locally -- we have so many talented artisans selling their work at this year's Winterfest! The 29th Annual Winterfest Arts Crafts Festival will feature more than 30 local artisans and vendors offering a wide variety of art, crafts and goods.
Holiday Wreath Making Workshop, Floyd Country Store, Dec 6th from 6 pm to 8 pm. The Handmade Music School presents a Holiday Wreath Workshop with Stephanie Wolf at The Floyd Country Store on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 pm. Cost is $50 and includes materials.

Holiday Basket Weaving Workshop, Floyd Country Store, Dec 13th. The Handmade Music School and The Floyd County Store present a Holiday Basket Weaving Workshop with Kathy Dulaney at The Floyd Country Store on Wednesday, December 13th, 2023 from 6:00-8:00pm. Cost is $30 and includes all the materials. Participants will weave a tiny 4″ ribbed basket that can be decorated with Christmas greenery and Christmas motif embellishments.
German Christmas Cocktail Party, On Sunday, December 17, 5-8 pm, Germany comes to Floyd for a relaxing afternoon of German Advent and Christmas Traditions. Clemens & Barbara von Claparède-Crola will open their home for a fundraiser supporting the Floyd Center for the Arts. Admission to this fundraiser is $85 per person, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Floyd Center for the Arts. Tickets are available NOW! Space is limited; tickets must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be sold at the door.
Santa Claus at the Floyd Country Store, Dec 17th and 20th at 6 pm. Come see Santa Claus at The Floyd Country Store at 6:00 PM on Sunday, December 17 and 20, 2023! Admission is free. Join us for a fun, festive evening with Santa Claus! Photos are welcome.
Calling all Floyd County Residents and Businesses! Start planning today for the Holiday Light Contest. All entries must be submitted by Dec. 11th to be eligible for the competition. To enter, simply take a photo of your decorations and email them to smalltownholidays@gmail.com. Only one photo will be accepted for judging.
Participants will be featured on the Visit Floyd, VA Facebook page for people to vote from Dec. 12th through Dec. 18th. The winners of both categories will be announced on Dec. 19th and receive a trophy.
