Floyd is celebrating a big year in the Blue Ridge! Readers of Blue Ridge Country magazine have recognized Floyd with 42 Best of the Mountains honors in the 2026 contest, celebrating the businesses, attractions, events and experiences that make Floyd such a special place to visit.
The Best of the Mountains contest gives readers the opportunity to vote for their favorite destinations throughout the Blue Ridge. The contest is divided into three regions, with Floyd competing in the Upper Blue Ridge, which includes Virginia, West Virginia and Kentucky.
