Join the Floyd Center for the Arts for Woven Legacies, a special lecture with Ashley Webb exploring the rich Appalachian tradition of geometric woven coverlets and the creativity, skill, and labor that went into creating them.

Highlighting historic coverlets from the Old Church Gallery featured in Strings Attached: The Enduring Appeal of Overshot Coverlets, Ashley will explore how patterns, techniques, and the objects themselves reveal stories of family, community, identity, and Appalachian heritage.

Ashley Webb is the Executive Director and Curator of Collections and Exhibitions for the Historical Society of Western Virginia. A museum professional and fashion historian, she specializes in collections, exhibitions, and historic dress.
