Floyd Veterans Day Parade
On behalf of all the Floyd Veterans, VFW Post # 7854 and American Legion Post 127, we would like to invite you to the Floyd Veterans Day Parade. The tradition of honoring the men and women who have served honorably in the military during times of war and peace is very important.
The Floyd County Women’s Club will be hosting a USO type canteen. The ladies will be providing hot coffee and hot apple cider. They will also have home baked goods such as brownies, cakes, and cookies, etc.
Assembly for the parade is 1 PM at the Mayberry Funeral Home and starts at 2 PM. It will proceed North on Rt 8, then right at the stoplight and end on Rt 615 (Barberry Rd).
We are looking forward to having you join us in celebrating Veterans Day. There will be two plaques awarded to participants in the parade. One for most patriotic and one for the best decorated. We will also have a drawing for all Veterans who participate in the parade to win a prize.
