5th Floyd Plein Air Biennial

Experience six days of live painting as 30 juried artists from 10 states come together for the 5th Floyd Plein Air Biennial. Throughout the week, artists will paint the landscapes, farms, architecture, and community of Floyd County, creating more than 100 new works of art.
Visitors are welcome to watch artists at work throughout the week and attend a variety of public events, including artist demonstrations, wet paint sales, the Friday Night Quick Draw, the Quick Draw Exhibition, and the Public Gala Celebration & Art Sale.
Week highlights include the Meet-the-Artist Reception & Small Wet Painting Sale on Monday, September 14; a painting demonstration with Kyle Buckland on Wednesday, September 16; the ticketed Plein Air Soirée on Thursday, September 17; a demonstration with Festival Judge Deliece Blanchard and the Friday Night Quick Draw on Friday, September 18; and Saturday’s Grand Finale featuring a demonstration with Joli Ayn Wood, the Collectors Preview, awards, and Public Gala Celebration & Art Sale.
