Situated at the end of a private drive off the Blue Ridge Parkway, it is within walking distance (0.6 mi) of Meadows of Dan – a small, friendly community with food & shopping amenities. Also nearby is the historic Mabry Mill, plus the Villa Appalaccia, and Chateau Morrisette wineries. Constructed in 2011, this custom-designed guesthouse of 1000 sq ft is light and airy with charming views all around. The cabin accommodates up to 5 adults plus additional children with a simple but welcoming ambiance. The main floor has open living area, fully equipped kitchen, and bathroom with walk-in shower. Sleeping facilities include a private main floor bedroom with a double bed; a spacious loft with queen size bed and ½ bath; as well as a sleeping couch in the living area alcove. [Bed linens and towels provided.] Operable skylight with ceiling fan cools on warm days; and wood-burning stove provides cozy warmth on cool nights. Ample porches to sit and relax. Pond delightful for fishing & swimming. Kayaks available for guest use. Owner residence nearby with a friendly dog and outdoor cats on-premises.
