The Floyd County Historical Society celebrates Floyd County, Virginia through programs including lectures, publications, community outreach, exhibits and through the Society’s museum.
Our museum, just two blocks north from the stoplight, is in the 1913 historic former hospital “The Ridgemont” (the Marie Williams house). We have historical exhibits for all ages, a small store (books, gifts, cards, etc.), handicapped access, and special tours available. It's open on Fridays & Saturdays, April through December (Apr. 11 – Dec. 6, 2025). Drop by! You'll always be greeted by a friendly history lover.
