Available for sale online and in the store. \nThis special presentation of the Floyd Country Store featuring Scythian will be a lot of fun! There are a few details worth sharing for folks interested in attending this event. The show will be immediately following the Floyd Christmas Parade\, therefore we are delaying the start time to 7:30PM to ensure you have time to find parking after the parade traffic clears out. Door will open at 6:30PM. This will be special dance set up with the room split with seating and dance floor. We will have our normal Reserved Section up front\, with a General Admission seating area behind the Reserved Section. Everyone is welcome to dance. All seats will have a view of the band. This event also features an Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest (more details coming)! \nABOUT SCYTHIAN\nNamed after Ukrainian nomads\, Scythian (sith-ee-yin) plays roots music from Celtic\, Eastern European and Appalachian traditions with thunderous energy\, technical prowess\, and storytelling songwriting\, beckoning crowds into a barn-dance\, rock concert experience.  Nashville’s Music City Roots says Scythian is ‘what happens when rock star charisma meets Celtic dervish fiddling’\, and the Washington Post claims “Scythian’s enthusiasm is contagious\, and shows seem to end with everyone dancing\, jumping around or hoisting glasses.” \nThe foursome made up of Alexander Fedoryka (Vocals\, Fiddle\, Mandolin\, Harmonica)\, Danylo Fedoryka (Vocals\, Guitar\, Accordion)\, Ethan Dean (Vocals\, Upright and Electric Bass\, Percussion\, Guitar) and Johnny Rees (Vocals\, Drums\, Percussion) brings various influences together to create a conglomerate which is technically precise and steeped in various folk traditions: The classically trained Fedoryka brothers grew up on Ukrainian folk music and bluegrass\, while Ethan Dean was raised on the greats of 60’s & 70’s folk-rock. Lafayette LA raised Johnny Rees brings a Cajun backbeat to the Celtic-Americana fusion giving Scythian yet another dimension which keeps audiences entertained and moving.

DESCRIPTION:Every Sunday afternoon The Floyd Country Store comes alive with community music during our old time and bluegrass music jams. Bring your instrument and join in the music or grab some food and be our audience! \nTHE MUSIC STARTS AT 1:30pm and it is open to the public and free for everyone! \nSunday Music Jams are a great way to see traditional music the way it has been played and handed down for centuries\, amongst friends and family in a community setting. \nThe OLD TIME JAM session takes place from 1:30 – 3:30 pm in the area just in front of our stage and is hosted by a different string band each week\, leading tunes at a moderate speed. Traditional instruments and dancers welcome! \nThe BLUEGRASS JAM takes place from 4:00 – 5:30 pm\, with hosts who lead the group in bluegrass songs and tunes. Song selections and solos pass around the circle.

DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Floyd Country Store every Friday Night at 6:30 pm for the Friday Night Jamboree. \nLearn more about the Friday Night Jamboree here. \nGeneral Admission Tickets\nGeneral admission tickets are available at the door every Friday at 4:45pm before the Jamboree. General admission tickets are not available in advance and seating is not guaranteed. Cost is $10 for adults and $7 for children ages 7-12. Kids 6 and under are free. \n\n\nFriend of the Jamboree\nAre you a Friday Night Jamboree regular? Ask about our Friend of the Jamboree program! A $20 membership allows the bearer $7 admission into the Jamboree all year long\, paying for itself in just four visits. Must be purchased at the Floyd Country Store. \n\n\nReserved Seating Tickets\nWe are happy to offer a very limited number of reserved seats\, located in the center section starting from the second row through the fifth row (limited to 42 seats\, maximum eight tickets per order). Seating is assigned on a first-come\, first served basis\, per customer request and special needs. Please include helpful information in the notes section that will help us best accommodate your group. We will do our best to honor requests and seat your group together if possible. \nReserved tickets can be purchased online for $16 each. Since it is a reserved seat\, children using a seat are the same price as adults\, therefore\, ticket reservations need to made for them as well. There are no refunds or exchanges. We ask that you be in your seats by 6:30 pm or your reservation will be canceled.
