Bring your instrument and join in the music or grab some food and be our audience! \nTHE MUSIC STARTS AT 1:30pm and it is open to the public and free for everyone! \nSunday Music Jams are a great way to see traditional music the way it has been played and handed down for centuries\, amongst friends and family in a community setting. \nThe OLD TIME JAM session takes place from 1:30 – 3:30 pm in the area just in front of our stage and is hosted by a different string band each week\, leading tunes at a moderate speed. Traditional instruments and dancers welcome! \nThe BLUEGRASS JAM takes place from 4:00 – 5:30 pm\, with hosts who lead the group in bluegrass songs and tunes. Song selections and solos pass around the circle.

DESCRIPTION:Join us at The Floyd Country Store on Saturday\, June 6\, 2026 at 7:00 pm for a live concert with The Loose Strings Band. Tickets are $20 general admission\, $25 reserved seating\, $10 for kids under 12. Available for sale online and in the store. \nABOUT THE BAND\nThe Loose Strings Band consists of Channing Combs (guitar)\, Grace Davis (bass)\, Lindsey Nale (mandolin)\, Ashley Hultman (banjo) and Mary Claire Cason (fiddle).  Making their home in the Blue Ridge Mountains has contributed to their unique Appalachian sound. They are also known for their “family sound” vocal harmonies.  The group came together 19 years ago\, and have drawn inspiration from a variety of artists such as Dolly Parton\, Alison Krauss\, and The Dixie Chicks. These artists have inspired avenues to the band’s own bluegrass/folk sound. \nThey released their first album\, Only The Beginning (2009) and have since released five more albums: The Next Chapter (2012)\, Everlasting Faith (2013)\, Journey With No End (2015)\, As We Travel (2016)\, and their most current album called Realities.  It consists of all original songs with an Americana-Folk feel. \nThe Loose Strings tour has consisted of multiple festivals and venues including: FloydFest\, Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion-Birthplace of Country Music\, Dollywood’s BBQ & Bluegrass\, International Bluegrass Music Association-World of Bluegrass\, and Merlefest. They have performed on the official television series of Virginia\, Song of the Mountains\, as well as Kentucky’s WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour\, which broadcasts on radio and as a television series across the world. \nThe band took on a new venture in two thousand eighteen\, and were part of the film\, A Nashville Wish. They were the only artists to contribute original material to the production/soundtrack\, and will also appear in scenes throughout the film. Kevin Dorsey\, Producer states\, “Music is my profession. Having the opportunity to work with the Loose Strings Band broadened my horizons when it came to the genre of bluegrass. In their own unique way\, The Loose Strings Band has found a way to incorporate country\, pop\, and soul in their vocal presentation of bluegrass\, while keeping the wonderful sound and feel of the genre!
