The old time jam session starts at 1:30 and is hosted by a different string band each week\, leading tunes at a moderate speed. Traditional instruments and dancers welcome! At 4:00 the bluegrass jam kicks off\, with hosts who lead the group in bluegrass songs and tunes. Song selections and solos pass around the circle. Sunday Music Jams are a great way to see traditional music the way it has been played and handed down for centuries\, amongst friends and family in a community setting.

DESCRIPTION:Come sing with us! \nShape note is an American tradition of unaccompanied harmony singing with roots that stretch back into the Colonial period. It takes its name from the musical notation system to aid in sight-singing where notes are written on the page with different shapes\, each corresponding to the degree of the scale. \nTunebooks we sing from are The Sacred Harp (1991 Denson edition)\, The Shenandoah Harmony\, and The Valley Pocket Harmonist. Loaner books are available. \nAll are welcome — no experience with sheet music or singing necessary!

DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, July 11th\, gates will open at 3pm for those who would like to camp overnight. No music or activities will be held on this night. To camp Friday night\, you will need to purchase an event ticket for the entire event. Camping is an additional $15 per spot\, per night. You may purchase camping passes online also. Lots of activities for everyone in the family\, check out the website for all the details and schedule! \nVenue:\nBurnett Farm\, 5430 Indian Valley Road\,Willis\, VA 24380 \nDirections:\nDirections From the West/South: If you are coming from the West or South you will have to come from I-77. Take the Galax/Hillsville/221 exit and head North on 221. You will travel approx 25 miles to a Left on Camp 5 Rd. and travel about 2.8 miles to the stop sign. Take a left on Indian Valley Rd (RT 787) and go 0.6 miles to the Replenish Festival on the Right (just after the big white Barn)! \nFrom the North: Depends on where you are coming from…..if you are coming South on I-81\, use the East directions. There are 2 ways to find Floyd from that direction…either come through Roanoke via I-81 to I-581 to SR221 South to the Floyd Stoplight or via I-81 to the RT 8 South/Floyd/Christiansburg exit to the Floyd Stoplight. If you come Rt8\, about 5 miles before the Town of Floyd\, turn Right on Rt 730 (Ridgeview Rd). Continue to the stop sign on Rt 750 (Alum Ridge Rd). Go straight on Rt 730 (now Duncan’s Chapel) to a Left on RT 787 (Indian Valley Rd). Go 4 miles to the Replenish Festival on the Left!
