DESCRIPTION:May Moto Weekend @ Crooked Mountain! Get ready for a weekend of riding and camping at Crooked Mountain. Located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway and only 4 miles from downtown Floyd; Crooked Mountain is a great place to set up a base camp\, ride\, and explore some awesome southwest Virginia backroads. Come camp this weekend and explore the area while testing out your moto camping and navigation skills.\nWhether you’re a seasoned rider or a newbie\, this event is perfect for all levels of experience. Connect with like-minded individuals\, swap stories\, and make memories out riding and hanging around a campfire that will last a lifetime. We will have self-guided ride routes and area info available on our mapboards outside of the store for dual sport and road riders. All dual sport routes are big bike friendly.\nWe’ve blocked this weekend off on our Hipcamp site so campsites can only be reserved on Eventbrite for this weekend. Tickets for the weekend cover camping only. We’re keeping ticket prices low for this one to encourage motorcycle camping and riding in the area. We offer primitive campsites with some basic amenities. Cost of ticket is per tent for field camping and per site for creekside (see options available)\nThere will be food trucks onsite throughout the weekend for lunch and dinner. We also encourage everyone to explore other establishments in Floyd for breakfast (we’ll provide some great recommendations). We’re no cooks but we still want to make sure you get some great local food.\nThis is meant to be an easy weekend to get everyone out camping and riding to kickoff the summer riding season.
