DESCRIPTION:Join Us for a Heartwarming Community Meal – and Support a Great Cause! 🥣❤️ \n📅 Sunday\, April 26 | 🕓 11am-2pm | 📍 Floyd County High School \nPick out a beautiful handmade bowl\, enjoy a delicious meal\, and support weekend meals for local students facing food insecurity.\nFloyd Empty Bowls is back for its 15th year – a beloved annual fundraiser supporting the New River Community Action Floyd County Backpack Program\, which provides over 3\,000 weekend meals to local students each month who might otherwise go hungry. Since 2007\, this program has delivered over 600\,000 meals for children. \n🌾 Each full priced meal ticket* includes:\n✔️ A handcrafted ceramic bowl by local potters (yours to keep!)\n✔️ Hearty soup\, fresh bread\, dessert & beverage (home made soup\, bread\, and dessert are made by volunteers)\n✔️ Live local music and a warm community vibe\n* No-bowl tickets are available for a lower price\, disposable bowls for soup are provided for these tickets \nFor ticket prices and to purchase tickets online\, please visit the “Floyd Empty Bowls” Facebook page or use the link provided in this listing.\nThe backpack program is 100% volunteer-run\, with Floyd Rotary members assembling food packets every Wednesday. Take the Galax/Hillsville/221 exit and head North on 221. You will travel approx 25 miles to a Left on Camp 5 Rd. and travel about 2.8 miles to the stop sign. Take a left on Indian Valley Rd (RT 787) and go 0.6 miles to the Replenish Festival on the Right (just after the big white Barn)! \nFrom the North: Depends on where you are coming from…..if you are coming South on I-81\, use the East directions. There are 2 ways to find Floyd from that direction…either come through Roanoke via I-81 to I-581 to SR221 South to the Floyd Stoplight or via I-81 to the RT 8 South/Floyd/Christiansburg exit to the Floyd Stoplight. If you come Rt8\, about 5 miles before the Town of Floyd\, turn Right on Rt 730 (Ridgeview Rd). Continue to the stop sign on Rt 750 (Alum Ridge Rd). Go straight on Rt 730 (now Duncan’s Chapel) to a Left on RT 787 (Indian Valley Rd). Go 4 miles to the Replenish Festival on the Left!
