Relationships with yourself\, others or the world around us?\nJoin Sandy Jahmi Burg\, author\, Certified Focusing Coordinator\, and neuroscience educator\, as we use stories and role play to explore relational skills that help us shape a healthy brain from our daily interactions.\nSandy will entertain us with some nature-themed excerpts from her Smartview Stories books. These books feature Floyd-like characters living in an imaginary community as well as 3 Inner Companions who help them navigate life. The Inner Companions are based on concepts of neuroscience\, teaching us about our body and brain. We may get some role play rolling as well!\nOur 3 Inner Companions will be available for kids of all ages to hold.

SUMMARY:Partnership for Floyd Celebrates
DESCRIPTION:Partnership for Floyd celebrates 20 years of service to our community with a FREE ice cream social at the end of the Floyd Earth Day in the Park. Organized by PFF\, 12 different groups will offer nature activities in Lineberry Park\, along with musicians and an Appalachian Species Giant Puppet Parade. PFF will be offering fruit trees saplings with tubes and stakes for $10 suggested donation. PFF was instrumental in building the park\, along with Dodd Creek Tail and the Park to Library Trail\, as well as sponsoring many Earth Days and Health Fairs in service to our community. Come celebrate with us!!

DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Earth Day in Nature! Hike with Wild Garden Club organizer Jane Cundiff and Master Naturalist instructor Michael Williams on the Dodd Creek Trail. Enjoy and learn more about our natural habitat right here in Floyd County. We will take our time on this 1.2 mile walk to study how spring is unfolding in the forest. Our hike will be followed by a potluck celebration\, hosted by Partnership for Floyd at the picnic shelter just uphill from the trail. Please bring a big potluck dish and your own re-usable picnic needs (cup\, plate\, utensils) to avoid waste. Let’s Celebrate Nature together!
